The Charlie Takes a Break Crew had an awesome day out on the Port River with our very own inflatable speed boat courtesy of Portobello River Cruises! Everyone was a bit nervous at first but our host Allan, gave us instructions on how to work the outboard motor and provided us with all the food and drink we needed for our voyage!
No sooner had we set sail, then we were joined by “Rocket”, a baby dolphin who followed us for the whole 2 hour trip around the Harbour. Someone suggested he might just be after some of our fish and chips but maybe he just wanted to make sure we were all ok!
We all had a turn at driving the round boat and there’s definitely some Captain’s in the making, although going full throttle towards the pier is not to be recommended!!
After a relaxing lunch under the boat’s canopy, Rocket escorted us back to dry land and we couldn’t stop chatting about wanting to do this amazing experience again soon.
